UMC Project
Congregational Land Partners, working with a congregation that occupies more than 3.5 acres, helped develop several concepts for the proposed project, including apartment buildings and bungalow courts. In particular, the bungalow court's conceptual plan included approximately 31 small single-family units for small low- and moderate-income households. This unique and innovative project vision aimed at responding directly to the site’s low density zoning and context, the community’s political perspectives, and a desire to limit construction cost and funding complexity. CLP prepared a Request for Proposals and provided the congregation assistance throughout the process. We were encouraged to see strong interest, with more than five developers submitting proposals.
